FLEET WEEK SAN DIEGO
Fleet Week San Diego is a month-long program that honors and celebrates the men and women of the military through public events that entertain and thank these heroes. The non-profit association in charge of the activities funds the 10-plus events in large part thanks to the generosity of corporations and individuals.

Fleet Week San Diego begins Saturday
They call it Fleet Week San Diego, a series of events sponsored by individuals and corporations designed to bring attention to the city’s military presence. But it will actually take more than five weeks to cram everything into this year’s schedule.

You can bet the late Ed Hoffman, a proud U.S. Marine, is singing the praises of his son, Trevor. The Padres great who made sure more than 1,000 military members attended games and dined on his tab during his Padres career was named this year's honorary chairman of Fleet Week San Diego, which arrives in September.
