Kimberly Kobey Pretto was just 12 years old when she got her first job at a flea market, taking tickets at her grandfather’s Park & Swap bazaar in Phoenix. At a time when many of her friends were spending their weekends at the playground, Pretto learned about selling parking passes, announcing special sales over the loudspeaker and checking whether vendors had filled out their police forms correctly.
