Local Sport Clips stores get awards NORTH COUNTY ---- Two local Sports Clips stores were recognized in May at the company's 2009 National Huddle. Sport Clips offers haircuts for men and boys in a sports-themed environment. The Del Mar Heights Village store was named a "Rising Star," honoring top performers that opened in 2007. The store was sixth in net sales increase, with a more than 37 percent rise. It was fifth in client growth, with nearly a 32 percent gain. Carlsbad Loker Business Center store was named a "Superstar," recognizing best-performing stores that opened on or before December 2006. The store was first in net sales growth with an increase of nearly 50 percent from 2007 to 2008. It was second in client growth with a rise of more than 41 percent from 2007 to 2008. Also, the Carlsbad store was runner-up for the national franchise chain's Logan Trophy and winner of the company's President's Circle.
