Combating Piracy – The Computer Mouse is Mightier than the Sword

Recent events off Somalia involving U.S. Navy SEALs dramatically illustrated that terrorism takes many  forms;  from relatively well organized groups like al Qaeda to opportunist pirates working in lawless regions of the world. More to the point, that situation painfully highlighted that merchant shippers and private companies stand squarely on the front lines of this war and in larger numbers than military combatants.
