Transmission maker taps Ford veteran for president
Fallbrook Technologies Inc., a San Diego firm that developed and manufactures the NuVinci continuously variable planetary transmission, said Monday that industry veteran Al Kammerer had been appointed to the newly created position of president.
Kammerer, who will report to Chairman and CEO William Klehm, spent 34 years at Ford Motor Co. before retiring in 2008 as product development director for Jaguar Land Rover. He will lead Fallbrook’s product divisions.
Kammerer has served as a member of Fallbrook’s board since February 2009, and will continue to serve as a director, Fallbrook said.
