Unless you’re enrolled in a public relations course, studying for your APR or a PRSA member, you’re probably not too familiar with the PRSA Code of Ethics. September is Ethics Awareness Month and a great opportunity for PR professionals to revisit ongoing issues and concerns regarding PR ethics.

As a PRSA member, I aim to serve the public good and have taken on special obligation to operate ethically. I think it’s important that professionals revisit the code of ethics on a regular basis to ensure we’re all setting an example andconducting ourselves professionally, with truth, accuracy, fairness, and responsibility to the public.

I encourage PR professionals to visit the PRSA Member Code of Ethics page and review the core values and code provisions of conduct here.
