I have to say, I’m not usually a fan of following celebrities on social media, as often times I feel the things they post seem overtly promotional or just flat out disingenuous. However, there is one notable exception to that rule — Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Why? Because, the 68-year-old Terminator turned Governator, churns out pure social media gold.

Known simply as ArnoldSchnitzel on Snapchat, Arnold gives followers a look into his daily life with snaps ranging from workouts, movie shoots, keg tosses, bike rides, beer festivals and even moments like these — he shares it all.

But Arnold is no one trick pony, he’s also an avid user on Facebook, where he shares everything from his charity work (see below) to thoughts on political issues — he recently published this well-written blog post titled, I don’t give a f*** if we agree about climate change

He even sports a pretty savvy set of Twitter fingers, as you can imagine with a bio that reads: “Former Mr. Olympia, Conan, Terminator, and Governor of California. I killed the Predator. I told you I'd be back.”

Now don’t get me wrong, Arnie, just like most celebrities posts his fair share of promotional content, whether it be for his latest film project or some sort of product endorsement, but what sets him apart from the others is his authenticity. It may not always be proper or polished, but it sure seems genuine. That said, other public figures would do well to follow a similar path if they hope to engage with younger generations in the same way Arnold has.
