If you follow sports, you’re probably familiar with Devon Still’s story. The Bengals decided to keep the defensive tackle on the practice squad so he could continue to receive health insurance to help his 4-year-old daughter, Leah, receive cancer treatments. In addition, the Bengals organization also announced they would sell Still’s replica jersey with all the proceeds going straight to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The Bengals Pro Shop’s website states that it will no longer accept orders for Still’s jersey after October 20 and to date, they are donating more than $1,000,000 due to the generosity of so many individuals. Those individuals include New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton who purchased 100 jerseys and plans to distribute them at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and local Boys & Girls Clubs.

On Sunday, October 5, the New England Patriots cheerleaders wore Still’s jerseys to honor Leah. During the game, the organization announced that Robert Kraft would donate $25,000 to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

With all the NFL has been through the past few weeks with Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, it’s nice to see stories like this. While the NFL is trying to clean up its reputation, these teams, coaches and cheerleaders are scoring an A in the PR department.
